| It is another playing card: heart. Karl Waldmann made the four playing cards. On this one, you can see the picture of an actress covered with metal as well as the word "Paris" in Russian. "Paris" is a book by Maïakovski which cover has been made by Rodchenko. The actress on the collage is not easy to recognize but she might be Anne Baxter, an American actress born in 1923 who started her career in the 1940s. She played in All about Eve. Actually, it can be related to the novel by Lewis Caroll "Alice in Wonderland", in which the Hearts Queen plays a tyrannic part, exactly like Stalin. |
| Il s'agit à nouveau d'une carte à jouer: coeur. Karl Waldmann a donc réalisé les 4 cartes à jouer. On peut voir sur celle-ci la photo d'une actrice recouverte de métal ainsi que l'inscription Paris en russe. Paris est un livre de Maïakovski dont la couverture a été réalisée par Rodtchenko l’actrice y figurant n’est pas très reconnaissable mais il pourrait s’agir d’Anne Baxter,une actrice américaine qui est née en 1923 et qui a débuté sa carrière dans les années 40. Elle a joué dans All about Eve. Ceci est également à mettre en relation avec le roman de Lewis Caroll "Alice au pays des Merveilles" dans lequel la reine de coeur joue un rôle tyrannique, exactement comme Staline. |
